Hemp Sourdough Pancakes

Hemp Sourdough Pancakes - Hemp Connect NZ
Ingredients
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence (or extract)
  • 1 1/2 cups of sourdough starter (I use my hemp sourdough starter)
  • 1 cup plain flour
  • 1/2 cup Hemp Connect Hemp Seed Flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder

Tip: Allow your refrigerated ingredients to come to room temp before you use them

Instructions
  1. In a large bowl , combine eggs, butter, milk, vanilla essence and sourdough starter
  2. Stir in the plain flour, Hemp Connect Hemp Seed Flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt one at a time
  3. Combine gently
  4. The batter will be quite runny
  5. Bring the pan to a medium heat
  6. Use a 1/3 cup measure to ladle batter into the pan

Tip: If the batter is too thick, add a teaspoon of milk at a time until a desired consistency is reached.

Serve with your favourite pancake toppings!
